I didn’t set out to become an author
I set out to build something.
Like many driven people, I believed intensity would solve everything. Work harder. Move faster. Push through. For a while, it worked.
Until it didn’t.
I built businesses from the ground up, including a product that grew from a small idea into a seven-figure company. Over nine years, that journey generated millions in revenue. From the outside, it looked like momentum. Inside, it felt different.

There was a cycle I couldn’t see at first.
Momentum. Growth. Intensity. Then friction. Fracture. Rebuild. Repeat.
It wasn’t a lack of intelligence. It wasn’t a lack of work ethic. It wasn’t a lack of opportunity. It was a lack of awareness about how my mind operated under pressure.
After a season of burnout, distance, and hard reflection, I began to understand something I had missed for years. Drive is powerful. But without clarity, it can quietly erode the very things you’re trying to protect.
My marriage.
My focus.
My internal peace.
My sense of identity.
What followed wasn’t a motivational breakthrough. It was a humbling one. Slow rebuilding. Intentional reflection. A deeper faith. A different relationship with ambition.
That process became the foundation of Distracted Success.
I didn’t write this book to teach productivity. I wrote it because I wish someone had named these patterns for me earlier. Not to give me shortcuts, but to save me years of confusion.
If you’ve ever felt capable of building something meaningful, yet internally scattered or misaligned, I understand that tension. This book is my attempt to put language to it.
Today, I continue building businesses and helping others find clarity in theirs. But my focus is different now. Not just growth. Not just revenue. Not just momentum.
Clarity first.
Alignment second.
Results third.
Because building something real only matters if you don’t lose yourself along the way.
